Digitalization has come to the fore during the pandemic and the way it has accelerated under lockdown was the focus on day four of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.
Labeled the "fourth industrial revolution," the growth of technology has led to 50 percent of the world's population now being online and 66 percent having access to a mobile device.
The need for internet access is more important than ever due to COVID-19 restrictions, with many people now relying on it for working from home and for accessing education and health information.
