EU's Von der Leyen admits errors over Irish border and vaccine roll-out

European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen said she “deeply regrets” the plan for an Irish hard border to stop vaccine shipments to the UK. She also has admitted mistakes have been made in the EU vaccine rollout.
"We were late to authorize. We were too optimistic when it came to massive production and perhaps we were too confident that what we ordered would actually be delivered on time," she said of the distribution.
