Czechia’s president says China has agreed to a request to supply its Sinopharm vaccine to the country, which has been battling high COVID-19 infection rates.
It is not yet known how many doses have been agreed, with Czechia having also asked Russia for the Sputnik V vaccine.
The Czech president's spokesperson said: "The President of the Republic granted this request and wrote to the President of the People's Republic of China.
"According to a report by the Czech embassy in Beijing, the Chinese side decided to comply with this request immediately."
