Following London’s sharp increase in COVID-19 cases amongst students aged 10-19 years, the UK government has announced it will roll out rapid mass testing across England’s secondary schools from January.
London's Mayor Sadiq Khan has been calling for mass testing for students. Khan said the government needs to do more to stop rising infection rates "in that age group where we know there's been the biggest increase in the virus, a 75 percent increase in the last week in those aged between 10 and 19."
