Journalists called out for what is being called ‘racist’ reporting on the situation in Ukraine
When some journalists compared Ukrainian refugees and the situation in Europe to people in the Middle East, commenters were quick to point out the seemingly inappropriate and racially biased language used in the coverage. Al Jazeera quickly tweeted out an apology following comments made by their anchor, while CBS’s Charlie D’Agata made an on-air apology the day following his broadcast.
