Fishing Villages in Honduras Displaced by Rising Sea Levels
8m 46s
A small fishing village in southern Honduras has become what many say is the epicenter of global warming in Latin America. The sea is eating away at the land, forcing hundreds of families to find new homes inland. The deforestation of mangrove trees has left shorelines exposed and prone to erosion and floods. As the Pacific Ocean creeps closer, streets and houses get swallowed by the surf. Harris Whitbeck has the story.
