Over a million Mexican scientists have left Mexico in the last decades to find jobs where research is valued. As a result of this “brain drain”, the country has low numbers in tech development and patents. Now the government is investing heavily to stop the migration of scientists and create opportunities for some 160,000 college graduate students abroad with little plans to go back.
