Poland's legal case has been set back in an ongoing dispute with the European Union over sweeping reforms of the country's judicial system. A non-binding opinion presented in the EU Court of Justice is the latest development in a clash between Poland's ruling party and the bloc, over powers the ruling authorities hold over courts.
