Central America’s Northern Triangle is composed of Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras. Many families there are often persecuted and extorted by street gangs. Having nowhere to turn for help, many people decide to embark on the dangerous migrant trails with the hope of reaching the United States. But there’s a new wave of immigrants taking the legal route into the U.S. and are creating their own change in the country. In this episode of Full Frame, we speak with human trafficking expert, Anthony Fontes, and the president of the Migration Policy Institute, Andrew Selee, to understand how these new immigrants are shaping the U.S.
