Snow storms, ice and floods ravage France amid plunging temperatures

French authorities have warned people to travel only if necessary due to heavy snow and flooding. Overnight real-feel temperatures dropped to minus 18 degrees Celsius in parts of northern France. While in southern France flooding has been the main concern, with some villages completely cut off.
